Western Riding Lessons

We sometimes offer a limited number of Western riding and horsemanship lessons for the general public. Fees from lessons help to support the therapeutic programmes.

All lessons are private (one to one). Lessons can be one off or regular. No previous experience is necessary.

We believe that a good horse/human partnership starts from the ground so we also offer groundwork, handling, and horse care lessons. We recommend that riders take at least one ground work session first.

Please note we have a weight limit of 12 stone for riding lessons.

Safety helmets and appropriate footwear must be worn. We have safety helmets and boots available for hire.

Please note that we require a full 24hrs notice of cancellation or the lesson must be paid for.

Lessons on your horse

You can bring your horse to our centre for lessons, or occasionally we may be able to travel to your premises.

We also run workshops (for small groups of spectators with some participation) on subjects such as training the young horse, converting from English to Western, Round Pen training. Contact us for dates.

You can bring your horse to one of our clinics, or arrange a group of friends and we will run a clinic for you. Clinics include trail, starting Western, groundwork. Contact us for dates.
