We are now excited to be sharing our experience with other professionals so they in turn can help more people to benefit. Would you like to join us?

Applications are now open for our next training course starting Feb 2025

Only 8 places available, including 4 subsidised places for eligible applicants
 4 places at £850 ~ 2 places at £425 ~ 2 places fully funded

Wednesdays 26th Feb - 26th March inclusive 10am -12.30 Online Zoom
Wednesday 9th & Thursday 10th April 10am – 4pm Sunrise Farm

Hosted by Debbie La-Haye (Horses Helping People), Chris Jones (Mindfulness teacher) and Beccy Ross (assistant Mindfulness teacher), we will guide you through the opportunities and challenges of delivering a Mindfulness with Horses programme.

Suitable for all levels of previous mindfulness experience, whether you have no experience at all, or are a mindfulness teacher.

Please note – this course will not train you to be a mindfulness teacher. To deliver our programmes you need to partner with a mindfulness teacher. Guidance on this will be given in the course.

What’s in the course?

  • An online introduction to mindfulness with horses, including why it works, safe practices, and benefits for your organisation, both horse and human

  • A 4 week online mindfulness course - experience the benefits for yourself and discover how we combine mindfulness with horses and nature.

  • Two days at Sunrise Farm in Buckinghamshire, taking part in practical mindfulness exercises and meditations, with time for reflection and networking, plus lots of info including funding / evaluation / case studies from our courses, and how our course promotes positive horse welfare through understanding who horses are.

At the end of the course, you will have a thorough understanding of what you need in place to run a safe and effective Mindfulness with Horses programme PLUS a tried and tested syllabus for a 4 week Mindfulness with Horses course

All we ask in return is commitment to attend each session, your feedback on our course, and a plan to put your learning into practice.

What did last year’s participants say about the course?

“I thought the amount of information provided was excellent. I don’t think I’ve been on a course where so much is offered.”

“Inclusive, relaxed, professional training”

“I feel courses such as this are paving the way to embodying a kinder, more compassionate existence alongside our equine friends that benefits all involved. Thank you for being the change we need in the world and encouraging others to learn alongside you,”

“This course really helps students explore the role of the practitioner, the horse and the environment in creating that ideal setting for enhanced and best practice.”

“This compact, informative and supportive course has been extremely helpful and being conducted via Zoom means I was able to learn without the problem of getting cover for my yard and having to travel. I now feel I have the tools and confidence to add this service to my business which I believe will greatly benefit attending clients”.

“To put it simply, it has been life changing in the best possible way. The shift towards being with animals rather than doing with expectation is exactly what this world needs. What you’ve created is revolutionary and will hopefully continue rippling out into the wider equine world.”
